Known for its winter wonderland reputation, Holiday Valley has taken great strides over the years to become a year round destination, where people can have just as much fun in the spring, summer and fall as they can when snow blankets Western New York. If you’ve never experienced summer in Ellicottville, here are just a few things for you to look forward to on your next visit.
Starting near the Main Lodge you will find the Double Black Diamond Golf Course. This 18 hole par 70 course winds its way through the base of the mountain and gives you some of the best views you will find on any golf course. With 4 different options for teeing off, as well as new beginner tees, there is fun to be had for everyone in your group. Once finished, you can make your way up to any of our three different pools, take a run down the water slide and then kick back and relax with poolside service for food and drinks courtesy of the Cabana Bar. 
As you continue up Holiday Valley Rd. to Tannenbaum Lodge you will find Sky High Aerial Adventure Park, which is the largest aerial park in New York State! Bridges, platforms, hanging obstacles, ladders, nets and zip lines are all set strategically throughout the trees to give you a feeling of excitement that can only be found at Sky High. With 13 different courses of varying difficulty there is bound to be an option for everyone in your group.
The Sky Flyer Mountain Coaster is also located near the Sky High course and will take you to the top of the hill near Spruce Lake.Once there you will get to feel the rush of excitement as you speed down the winding track back to the bottom.
Climbing or coasters not for you? On Saturdays and Sundays, you can take a Scenic Chairlift Ride up to Spruce Lake. Fishing, paddle boarding or even just relaxing by the lake is a great way to spend time outside. Looking for something a little more active? There is a whole network of trails for hiking and mountain biking at the top of the resort. And if you don’t have your own bike you can try out one of our brand new mountain bikes or E-bikes by Trek, which are available to rent daily in the Tannenbaum Lodge! Plus, when you rent one of our mountain bikes on the weekend you get one free ride up the lift for easy access to the trails.
Looking for a bite to eat or relaxing with a beverage? There are some delectable options throughout the resort. McCarty Café at the base of the resort is the go to spot for coffee, breakfast and deli sandwiches (golfers…hit this up after you finish the Front 9 to make sure you are well fueled for the final 9 holes of the course). John Harvard’s Brew House offers the best dining views in Ellicottville all year round. The bar has 24 beers on tap plus an extensive wine list. For food they offer stone fire pizza, burgers, salads and nightly dinner specials. And if you're in the mood to venture into the village to find something to eat you can find a wide variety of breweries, restaurants, and shops less than a mile away (PRO TIP, rent a cruiser bike or e-Bike so you don't have to find a parking spot for your car in the village.)
The continental breakfast at the Inn or a McCarty’s breakfast sandwich is a great way to start the next morning followed by a trip to the Ellicottville Oasis Spa at the Tamarack Club to ease your muscles from your golf game or melt away the stresses of day-to-day life.
