Who are you? What do you do at HV and how long have you been working here?

My name is Kip Cobb. I'm a lift operator at Holiday Valley. I first started at HV in 2011/2012 hired by Joe Reithmiller. I've been a consistent operator on the Yodeler lift since 2016/2017.

What do you like more, summer or winter? Why?

I favor all 4 seasons. I enjoy a lot of the activities that come with the different seasons, such as hunting, camping, fishing, swimming, and skiing. 

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing about the job is being  able to  watch people of all types here having fun. I also enjoy doing the little H.V. snow carvings that you may see around the Yodeler lift.

When you’re not working, how do you enjoy spending your time?

When I'm not working I enjoy being a father and enjoy spending time with family for sure.

If you’re off work and having fun with friends at HV, what are you doing?

If I'm not working and at Holiday Valley you could definitely catch me twin tipping it down Northwind with Eric Lester.

Most underrated thing to do at HV in your opinion?

In my opinion the most underrated thing at Holiday Valley would be Boardwalk. It's just great fun!

What’s your best HV memory?

So my best memory at HV was probably my worst at that time. We all know who started the lift a half hour early on the opening day 2019. I apologize greatly Mr. D and, thank you for not firing me that day. (Mr. D says, "Kip, you're a great employee!")

In your opinion, what makes HV special?

What makes HV special for me is the charisma that is created  while people here are having fun and all the friendships that I've created since I've been employed here.
