Holiday Valley Snowsports is all about learning and improving skiing and snowboarding skills. Learning is truly fun, and you're never too young or too old to enjoy the thrill of sliding on snow. Our experienced ski and snowboard staff can make your skiing and riding even more fun and rewarding on our excellent teaching terrain.
All you need to know about your first time skiing or riding is in the Beginner's Guide. Check out our Learn to Ski and Learn to Snowboard Packages with lessons, rental equipment and lift tickets. Signup is at the Creekside Lodge.
Lessons for beginners*, intermediate or advanced skiers or snowboarders. Register at the Snowsports School Desk in the Holiday Valley Lodge, ground floor. Open daily.

The ultimate in ski and snowboard instruction. Enjoy one on one instruction tailored to your needs. You can select the lesson content or let your instructor choose, based on your skiing or snowboarding skills.

January is National Learn a Snowsport Month!
Rip 'n Sip
Intermediate or advanced skiers and riders are invited to join this fun group on select Monday nights for a skills clinic followed by a beer (or wine) for some after-class camaraderie. We'll meet at 5:00 at the clock tower, then clinic on racing, moguls, steeps, trees and more. Dates for Rip 'n Sip are January 14, January 28, February 11, February 25 and March 11. The cost is $59 including lift ticket, lesson and beverage or $29 if you already have a Classic or Ultimate pass.
Lounsbury Adaptive Program
The Lounsbury Adaptive Program offers specialized learn to ski programs for visually impaired or physically or mentally challenged children or adults. Lessons include equipment and lift ticket.. Headquarters for the Lounsbury Program is at the Sugar Plum Lodge, next to the Tannenbaum Lodge. Lessons require reservations, call (716) 699-2345, ext. 4413.
