Holiday Valley has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing an even more stringent standard of cleanliness and customer service across the resort.  These standards are designed to minimize risk and enhance safety for our guests and employees.

Cleaning Regimen

When you arrive at Holiday Valley, you will notice a number of additions to our cleaning regimen, designed to set an even higher standard of cleanliness for the resort.

In guest rooms, we have enhanced our detailed cleaning practices, requiring surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival.

Daily housekeeping service has been suspended so no one will enter your room once you check in.

Cleanings between guest stays will involve an enhanced cleaning protocol, with extra caution taken for high-touch items like television remote controls, door handles, light switches, chairs, faucets and lamps.  We have also eliminated some unnecessary objects from rooms in order to minimize touch points.

In public spaces, Holiday Valley has boosted its already rigorous cleaning protocols, using CDC-approved cleaning products and increasing the frequency of cleanings around the resort, including in spaces such as restrooms.

Cleaning in public spaces will be done with an emphasis on frequent contact with hard non-porous surfaces including front desk check-in counters, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, vending machines, ATMs, stair handrails, dining surfaces and seating areas.

Hand sanitizer is available throughout the property – including at entrances, exits and in high-traffic areas.

Guest Contact and Social Distancing

Guests must wear masks or face coverings whenever they are directly interacting with someone outside of their party or when not maintaining at least six feet of social distance.

To help alleviate the risk of COVID-19 transmission through person-to-person contact, Holiday Valley has posted signage throughout the property to remind guests to maintain at least six-feet social distancing. Furniture has been removed and re-arranged to allow more space for distancing.

Holiday Valley has added partitions at front desks and cash registers to provide an extra level of precaution for its staff members and guests. 

Daily Employee Check-In

All employees must wear masks or face coverings as directed by law.

Employees of the resort are screened daily for COVID-19 symptoms. If an employee does not pass the screening, they are sent home and monitored. If employees are feeling ill or taking care of an ill family member, they are instructed to stay home.

We will continue mandatory training on COVID-19 awareness and train our staff on proper health etiquette, social distancing and personal hygiene.  Staff are trained in workplace behavior, sanitation, social distancing and hygiene protocols.  Every department has a protocol they must follow.

Holiday Valley Activities

Most activities at Holiday Valley are open including golfing, aerial park, the mountain coaster, gem mining, the resort pool complex, bike riding and hiking. Where applicable, capacity limits and social distancing protocols have been implemented.

We have implemented new policies throughout the resort to allow for social distancing. For example, we have reduced capacity at the resort pool complex so that guests can maintain six feet of distance both in the water and on the pool deck.  Masks are required in the pool area when guests are unable to maintain social distance.

Restaurants

McCarty Café, John Harvard’s, the Cabana Bar and Grill and poolside food and drink service are open.  We have reduced and spread out indoor seating, expanded outdoor seating, and enhanced our cleaning and sanitizing procedures.  

Guests must wear a mask inside the restaurant until seated and whenever they get up from their table.

Per New York State Executive Order, alcohol is available only to guests who also purchase food.  No service will be available at the bar, but our staff would be happy to take your order right at your table and deliver your drinks to you.
