COVID-19 Winter 21-22 Update

The 2021-2022 ski season is upon us.  While many of the New York State restrictions imposed on skiers and riders last season have been lifted, Holiday Valley is committed to maintaining certain precautions to help our guests and employees stay healthy and safe this winter.

Per order of the governor, that everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated, must wear a mask when indoors at Holiday Valley.  Please do not visit the resort if you are feeling sick.  Maintain physical distance from others whenever possible (especially indoors) and wash your hands frequently.

We recommend carrying an extra face covering with you in case yours is lost or freezes up from moisture.  The Mountain Shop carries reusable face masks and neck gaiters.

Our lodges will be open this season, but we encourage visitors to limit their time in indoor locations to minimize crowding.  Like last year, guests aren’t permitted to store personal items such as coolers and bags in the lodges.  Plan to leave your gear in your car, in a locker, or in the tent on the Resort Services Center plaza.

If you are concerned about dining indoors, we encourage you to skip the lodge by using your car as a home base and picnic spot.  You can also take advantage of outdoor seating options on nice days.

Picnicking is allowed in designated locations (Tannenbaum upper floor, Falcon Room at Yodeler Lodge and the Cabana enclosure at the Main), but we ask that you do not bring anything into the lodge until your group is ready to dine.  No crock pots or electric devices will be permitted in the lodges aside from crock pots in Tannenbaum.  Please limit your picnic to 30 minutes at a table to make space for others.  Per NYS liquor licensing laws, outside alcohol is not permitted.

Although we do not anticipate having to limit ticket sales on busy days in the 2021-22 season, we encourage you to purchase your ticket online in advance of your visit.  Buy your ticket at least 14 days in advance for the best price.  When you arrive at Holiday Valley, you’ll notice that we have added ticket pick up boxes at each of the base lodges.  Simply scan the code from your online purchase and the machine will print your ticket so you can head to the slopes.

If you are planning to rent gear, you can also save time on the day of your visit by pre-purchasing rental equipment online.

Chairlifts will operate normally this year so you may be paired up with people from outside your party.  Wear a face covering whenever you are unable to maintain six feet of distance from someone outside your party, and at all times when you are indoors.

We’re excited for another year of winter fun at Holiday Valley.  Please do your part to make this season safe and healthy for all!
