Who are you? What do you do at Holiday Valley and how long have you been working here?

My name is Amy Moore and I am a Bartender Extraordinaire. I have been working at Holiday Valley for nearly 15 years and have worked all over the resort, from being the head server taking care of the bride and groom at countless weddings, bartending at the ski lodges, Cabana and even out at snow bars; however my forever home is behind the bar at John Harvards, that I helped open 12 years ago.

What do you like more, summer or winter? Why?

I love them both equally. I have a different customer base for every season. I look forward to the seasons changing; seeing my favorite skiers and snowboarders that have been coming here with their families for years in the winter and the fun golfers and vacationers that come to play in the Summer. Not to mention the leaf lookers and corporate groups that help keep us busy in the spring and fall.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

The fact that my number one job is to make people happy, and I am very good at it!!

When you’re not working, how do you enjoy spending your time?

That’s one of my favorite things about Holiday Valley, that as employees we are encouraged to enjoy the amenities of the resort. I love to ski, swim and swing from the trees at Sky High. One of my favorite things is spending time in nature, so I go on lots of hikes and am an amateur bee keeper.

Most underrated thing to do at Holiday Valley in your opinion?

Relaxing out at the Cabana bar with friends and a cool cocktail is the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

What’s your best Holiday Valley memory?

Skiing with friends and popping off our equipment for an impromptu dance party on the infamous “dance rock “ You will have to come see me for it’s secret location.

In your opinion, what makes Holiday Valley special?

I think it is summed up by our motto, “It’s Just Fun!” We all get to be a part of people making memories and taking the time to truly enjoy life.
