In the 1950's Ellicottville skiers would make an annual trek to Mt. Saint-Sauveur in the Laurentians. They loved the people, the architecture, the mountains and they especially loved the Molson's beer! In 1956 when these skiers decided to open a ski area of their own they borrowed many ideas from their favorite Canadian resort including the Bavarian look, the layout of the slopes...and the Molsons. Holiday Valley Resort opened on January 7, 1958, and our good friends from the North have been skiing with us ever since. Come join in the fun at Holiday Valley!
