SnowPine Quad Chairlift Grand Opening - January 3, 2012
A ribbon cutting ceremony and champagne toast will be held to celebrate the opening of the new SnowPine Quad Chairlift at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7th.

Snowmaking for 2011-12 Season Begins - December 1, 2011
Snowmaking for the 2011-12 begins on Friday with the testing of the new automated snowmaking on Mardi Gras Slope;

Winter Improvements 2011-12 - September 2, 2011
Holiday Valley has reinvested $5.3 million to expand and improve winter operations for the 2011-12 season. Major projects included construction of the Sky High Mountain Coaster, a new quad chairlift, snowmaking upgrades and two new grooming machines.

Mountain Coaster Opens - August 13, 2011
The Grand Opening Celebration of the new Sky High Mountain Coaster is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10AM. The coaster is located near the Tannenbaum Lodge.

International Bowhunters World Championships - August 4, 2011
Holiday Valley Resort, will host the International Bowhunting Organization’s (IBO) 2011 World Championships from August 10th to 13th. The event will attract more than 2,000 contestants and their families from more than 20 countries to compete for the world championships and $200,000 in cash and prizes.

The Tamarack Club - November 1, 2010
The Tamarack Club, recently opened in December of 2009, is a condominium/hotel property located adjacent to the Clubhouse Chalet and at the base of several Holiday Valley chairlifts for ski-in/ski-out convenience.

New Morning Star Chair Ready for Skiers - October 30, 2010
Holiday Valley is pleased to announce that the new Morning Star High Speed Quad chairlift passed the NYS DOL load test on Thursday, October 28th. This was the final step of the construction of the $3.5 million lift which began last May.

Double Black Diamond Golf Course - July 3, 2009
The Double Black Diamond is the completely renovated and redesigned 18-hole golf course located at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville. “Holiday Valley has the reputation as the finest ski resort in the region. With this new course, we are able to say we’re the finest year-round resort in the region”, said Dennis Eshbaugh, Holiday Valley’s President and General Manager. The Double Black Diamond has been nominated by Golf Digest for best golf course redesign of the year for 2009.

Folk Art and Music Fair - July 3, 2009
Ellicottville’s Rotary Club’s Foundation for Youth announces the Americana Folk Art and Music Fair on July 18th and 19th. This event features live music and many hands-on demonstrations to capture the spirit of the artistic community that abounds in the Ellicottville area and the Enchanted Mountains of Western New York. This two day family event begins with arts, music and food in the Ellicottville town square on Saturday, and then a music fair, with food, refreshments and artisans at Holiday Valley on Sunday. The weekend will surely instill the spirit of creativity in children and adults alike.

Holiday Valley Improvement Projects 2009 - June 18, 2009
Completion of the Tamarack Club, together with $2 million in 2009 improvements total $92 million reinvestment in Holiday Valley over the past 18 years. This year's projects include construction of a new Champagne Mountain Top Warming Hut, snowmaking improvements, a new groomer, Holiday Valley Tubing Park improvements, new Snowsports School uniforms, construction of 2 new summer public swimming pools and the initial plans for rebuilding the Main Lodge (Clubhouse Chalet) and relocation the Holiday Valley access road.
