Training Center Teams
Holiday Valley Ski Team members often qualify to compete on state and national levels. Several alumni have been members of the US Ski team, competing on the World Cup and Olympic levels. The emphasis of Junior Team coaching is on having fun through training and competition. Concentration on improving overall skiing skills gives kids a chance to experiment with all diciplines of the sport and have fun skiing all types of terrain at Holiday Valley. The programs are based in the expansive Mountain Sports Center, complete with ski storage, lockers, tuning benches and lunch room. The Mountain Sports Center is located at the base of Yodeler and Edelweiss slopes. Team members should have intermediate or better skiing or riding skills.
Freestyle/Freeride Training in moguls, and upright aerials in the terrain park and half pipe. For a great time this winter, join the Holiday Valley Freestyle Team and find out why they're called the "Freestyle Factory"! Snowboarding Training in slopestyle, rails, halfpipe and park skills. Team members compete in regional and national USASA events as well as Holiday Valley sponsored events. Screaming Eagles A development program for kids ages 11 and above that includes ski racing, freestyle/freeride and occasionally snowboarding. Eagles experience lots of cross dicipline training and even more FUN! Click here for more info. Program cost for Race Team, Freestyle/Freeride Team, Snowboard Team or Screaming Eagles is $729 for the season if paid by September 15, or $799 after September 15. This price includes Christmas Camp, Dec. 27-31, 2009. A special rate on a combo season pass is available for $325. Masters Program for Racing and Moguls Masters is a recreational and competitive racing program or mogul skiing program for adults wanting to improve their skiing skills in and out of the gates or moguls. It includes 11-12 selected Saturday and Sunday mornings from January to March. Cost is $409 if paid by September 15, 2009 or $449 after September 15, 2009. Christmas Camp with enrollment in the Masters Program is an additional $65. Each Masters session runs from 9AM to 12PM. |
