Snowsports age 12 and up

Holiday Valley Snowsports is all about learning and improving skiing and snowboarding skills. Learning is truly fun, and you're never too young or too old to enjoy the thrill of sliding on snow. Director, Ron Kubicki and his experienced ski and snowboard staff can make your skiing and riding even more fun and rewarding on our excellent teaching terrain.

Our award winning Beginner's Adult Ski and Snowboard School (ages 12 and up) is located in the Creekside Lodge, adjacent to the Clubhouse Chalet. Beginners can sign up for learn-to-ski or learn-to-snowboard packages that include lessons, equipment rentals and beginner lift tickets all in the same location. Experienced adult skiers and riders can sign up for group or private lessons in the Clubhouse Chalet, across from the main cafeteria. The desk is open until 7:00 PM daily.

January is National Learn a Snowsport month!

Receive 20% off our Learn to Ski or Ride Package during the month of January, good any day. The package includes a lift ticket to the beginner’s area magic carpet, handle tow and easy riding Creekside Quad Chairlift. From the parking lot, follow the green dots all the way to the Creekside Lodge, a specially designed lodge for beginner skiers and riders. You’ll receive special attention on fitting your boots properly and how to use the new equipment. Before or after your lesson, relax in front of the fireplace with a complimentary hot cocoa or coffee. All you need is your warm clothes and a smile. For ages 12 and over.

OR - If you're already a skier or rider, bring a friend to purchase a learn to ski or ride package and you get a free group lesson. If your friend purchases a 1-2-3 GO package (3 sessions) you get a free one hour private lesson! This offer is good all season. Private lessons are subject to availability.

Kids have their own school, Mountain Adventures for ages 3 to 11, which is located in the Creekside Lodge at the base of the School Haus slope. The Creekside Lodge is open from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily, and lessons are available from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The Lounsbury Adaptive Program offers specialized learn to ski programs for visually impaired or physically or mentally challenged children or adults. Lessons include equipment and lift ticket.. Headquarters for the Lounsbury Program is at the Sugar Plum Lodge, next to the Tannenbaum Lodge. Lessons require reservations, call 716-699-2345, ext. 4413.
