In the 1950's Ellicottville skiers would make an annual trek to Mt. Saint-Sauveur in Quebec. They loved the people, the architecture, the mountains and they especially loved the Molson's beer! In 1956 when these skiers decided to open a ski area of their own they borrowed many ideas from their favorite Canadian resort including the Bavarian look, the layout of the slopes...and the Molsons. Holiday Valley Resort opened on January 4, 1958, and our good friends from the North have been skiing with us ever since. Come join in the fun at Holiday Valley!

What to Do at Holiday Valley

The Mountain. With 56 slopes and trails and 13 lifts, 4 terrain parks, glades, bump runs and plenty of cruisers, there's something for everyone.

Midweek packages where kids ski and stay free. Lessons for kids. Kids, ages 3-12 love Holiday Valley's Mountain Adventures Ski and Snowboard programs so much they're hooked on skiing for life. You can combine Day Care with ski lessons for the little ones.

As of June 1, 2009 US and Canadian citizens must present a WHTI compliant document to cross the border between Canada and the United States. Click here for information about what documents qualify and other requirements.

If you are a frequent visitor from Canada, or a US citizen who travels to Canada often, you may qualify for the Nexus Program.
