James Arbogast will be the Holiday Valley instructor for the 2012 summer. James’s playing career began at 11 years old. His love of golf soon over took his love of baseball. After working with his local professional, he became a very good player and teacher, helping with clinics and schools at his club. The passion was born. James went on to play in the Michigan Open and many mini tours around the Great Lakes region. At 44, James went on to obtain his degree at the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, SC.
As a teaching professional, James moved to Augusta, Georgia to become an instructor at the International Golf Academy at Jones Creek Golf Club. Soon James was recognized as a very accomplished teacher and mentor for junior golfers and members. Later, James took the position of Head Golf Professional at Grandview Golf Club in Kalkaska, MI., where he also focused heavily on instruction. With over 20 years of teaching experience, James’s passion for the game has lead him to the Phil Ritson- Mel Sole Golf Schools to become Head Teaching Professional at Holiday Valley Resort.
