Holiday Valley's Director of Golf is Steve Carney. Steve is a Master PGA Golf Professional, one of only 212 in the country. Steve's 20+ years of teaching experience with all levels and ages of golfers not only gives him the ability to pinpoint what you need help with, but also gives him a great understanding how each individual learns best. Also teaching at Holiday Valley under Steve are Kyle Benish and Tom Dirito, PGA Apprentices. Kyle and Tom specialize in children's golf lessons and advanced players.

3-Day Junior Golf Camp

Looking for something fun and worthwhile for your kids this summer? The Holiday Valley Junior Golf Camp is a lot of fun and will teach kids a sport they can enjoy their whole life long. The camp is a 3-day program on July 6, 7 and 8, 2010 and is designed for golfers of all abilities, ages 8-18. The camp will focus on all aspects of golf, with driving range practice, and course play. Five hours of daily instruction. Campers are divided into groups based on age and ability. Camp concludes with a golf skills challenge with prizes and a cookout.

Junior Golf Programs

Holiday Valley Golf School offers special lessons for Junior Golfers which introduce young players to the game or build upon existing skills. Topics include proper setup, full swing, short game, rules, etiquette and play (based on course availability). Lessons are once per week for a 4-week session and are offered July xxx and x and August xxx and x.  

Classes will be supervised by PGA Master Professional Steven R. Carney and PGA Professionals, Tom Dirito and Kyle Benish. Classes will include instruction with woods, irons, chipping and putting. Clubs and balls will be provided, however students are invited to bring their own clubs as well.

Just for the Ladies

Forget what you've heard about golf...women CAN golf and golf CAN be fun! Check out our Beginner's Ladies Group that meets every other Wednesday night at 5 PM in the Golf Shop. It isn't necessary to sign up in advance, just come whenever you like, individually or with a partner. We begin with a 15 minute lesson or rule each night, then you go out on the course with 3 others and "play by the rules as best as you can"! Once you get to 10 strokes, you can pick up your ball! How's that for no pressure?
The Beginner Ladies Group meets on (dates to be announced). Cost is $13.00 each night. Cart rental is optional, but if you want a cart it is $7.00 per person.

Golf Practice Facility

Holiday Valley's practice facility features a 300 yard driving range including 10 covered tees and up to 50 grass tees, multiple target greens and a ball machine. The putting greens and short game areas are adjacent to the range, which is located on the east side of Rt. 219, across from the Inn at Holiday Valley. The Golf School Building is headquarters for the Phil Ritson-Mel Sole Golf School.

Purchase tokens for Range Balls. 1 token=$4, 2 tokens=$8, 3 tokens=$10 and 6 tokens=$20. The price of a Range Key ranges from $50 to $150. With the $150 Range Key you will receive $50 in free range balls.
