WINTER

Holiday Valley Tubing Company

If you're looking for outdoor family fun, this is the place! The Tubing Park is located 4 miles from Holiday Valley and 3 miles northeast of the Village of Ellicottville on Rt. 242 (just past the Birdwalk, off Bryant Hill Rd.) and is open Thursdays through Sundays.

Mountain Tours

Meet our hosts at 10:30 AM weekends and holidays at the clock tower in front of the Clubhouse Chalet for a free guided tour of the mountain. Beginner and intermediate terrain used. Intemediate skills and lift ticket required.

Massage

After a great day on the slopes you deserve a bit of pampering! Treat your tired muscles to a therapeutic massage, available by appointment at Falling Waters Spa at the Tamarack Club, 716-677-9700. $70 for ½ hour, $105 for one hour. Seventy-five minute hot stone massage $160. 30 minute reflexology $55. Body wraps and face treatments also available.

NASTAR Racing

Challenge yourself or your friends in the gates. NASTAR races are held at 12:30 on Cindy's Run, Wednesday through Sunday. Price for two runs is $6 for adults and $5 for juniors, or buy a one-day unlimited pass for $10.

Snowshoing and Cross Country Skiing

For an enjoyable change of pace try snowshoing or cross country skiing. Snowshoing requires no extrordinary skills, just walk with your feet a little farther apart! Some people use ski poles for balance, but be sure to wear comfortable and waterproof shoes or boots and water repellent pants. Both cross country skis and snowshoes are available for rent for $17 at Holiday Valley's rental shop. Use of the trails is free!

And Who Doesn't Like Shopping?

Whether you're looking for a pair of goggles, a fleece sweater or something special to bring home to the kids, you can find just about anything at the Holiday Valley Mountain Shops. Visit us at the Yodeler Lodge or next to the Clubhouse Chalet. In downtown Ellicottville shops you'll find a great variety of very special shops...several of the finest ski and snowboard shops in Western New York, beautiful gifts and jewelry at Kazoo II and Alexandra, home furnishings from around the world at Aardvark, unique toys for all ages at Shhhh, natural soaps, fine jewelry at Ask Design Jewlers and Few of a Kind, foods and health related items at Nature's Remedy, plus many more. Ellicottville is truly a shopper's delight, and not one chain store among them!

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Visit Holiday Valley in the summer for a day, a weekend or a whole summer of fun. Experience the unique attractions in Ellicottville and in the nearby countryside.
 
Holiday Valley's Double Black Diamond  is a truly unique and challenging golf course. All of Holiday Valley's trails are open to hiking and mountain biking, except those that cross the golf course. The mountain bike trails connect to NYS Forest land where there are many miles of logging roads and single track maintained by WNYMBA. Purchase a detailed topographical map of the trails from WMYMBA at Holiday Valley or the Ellicottville Bike Shop. Hike or bike to Spruce Lake at the top of the Spruce Lake chairlift for a refreshing dip. Please remember, swimming at Spruce Lake is at your own risk.

Relax and refresh with a massage at Sunrise Massage, located at the Inn at Holiday Valley. Appointments are available by calling 716-699-2345. $45 for ½ hour, $70 for one hour. One hour hot stone massage $85. 30 minute reflexology $45. Body wraps and face treatments also available.

Stroll through the Nannen Arboretum in Ellicottville and observe the hundreds of species of unique trees, shrubs, flowers and herbs. Explore the grounds of the Griffis Sculpture Park in nearby Ashford Hollow to see and touch the unbelievable collection of giant sculptures in a natural setting. Or go horseback riding (year 'round) at Gentle Thunder Farm in Ellicottville,  at East Otto's R & R Dude Ranch or The Crosspatch in Little Valley/Salamanca. Hike the scenic Finger Lakes Trail or Allegany State Park. Take a spring rafting trip through Zoar Valley. Pick up a bit of culture at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on the St. Bonaventure Campus in Allegany, featuring museum exhibits, live theatre and family fun activities and events. Go to the Quick Arts Center web site for a complete schedule of events and exhibits. Visit Amish Country in and around Conewango. These gentle folk welcome you into their shops where you can purchase quilts, furniture, toys and baked goods. The Seneca Iroquois National Museum is located in neighboring Salamanca. Allegany State Park is a 20 minute drive, and offers excellent mountain biking, hiking trails and lakes, not to mention awesome scenery. Take a drive through the countryside and you will find antique shops, barns and co-ops a-plenty. Start your antique adventure with this list of local shops. Niagara Falls is a 1-1/2 hour drive north. Chautauqua Institution cultural center is a 1 hour drive west on beautiful Chautauqua Lake.
